Two Services Continue Until Labor Day?
This June, we moved to two Worship Services because of the remodeling of the Sanctuary . This practice af doing two services has been well received as a great opportunity to meet and talk to one another .
It has given the congregation something it has not had the space or time prior to this -- community togetherness.
At the June Council Meeting, it was recommended to stay at two services for the summer months until after the Labor Day weekend . As the remodeling comes to a partial finish, the Sanctuary will be available and large enough to accommodate two services . Thus, for the summer of 2010, the congregation of Moose Lake Covenant Church will have two Worship Services -- 8:30 and 10:30 AM with ample space and time to worship and get to know one another.
Pastor Drew writes about his spring sabbatical
This spring marked seven years of ministry in Moose Lake for me, and one of the great gifts this congregation has chosen to give to its pastors is a sabbatical leave. The purpose of this leave is “to purposefully take time away from Moose Lake Covenant Church for extended study and rest.” Can I just take a second and thank you for making investments like this in your pastoral staff? This time away was such a wonderful thing to me and my family. I am so very grateful.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did while I was away from you.
